What we do every day matters. There are those who wonder why it takes half a year to replace or repair something because of a silly $1 plastic part that has been sold out for months and those who decide to get an identical part locally. Global supply chains are fantastic for putting out a lot of inexpensive items quickly but are very unresponsive. It can take months for a factory line to be set up for a particular item, and that assumes that logistical chains are acting as designed. T the maker community has the tools to make small quantities of replacement parts, which contributes to resiliency. The issue, really, is connecting the people with the need and the people with the ability to meet that need. We're here to help. Our expanding network, both formal and informal, have capabilities to help the larger community in ways that once took far larger facilities and investment. This is about sustainability and bringing people together to solve problems.
